Ulster Transport BC Club Competitions Schedule 2024

Introduction

There are 171 games in 10 events this year, an increase of 36 on the 2023 season, split as follows:

Men – 114  games (98 in 2023)

Ladies  - 41 games (37 in 2023)

Mixed – 16 games (0 in 2023)

The total number of matches in each round is 4 (Last 64), 36 (Last 32), 62 (Last 16), 39 (Quarter Finals), 20 (Semi Finals) and 10 Finals.

NIPGL/NIWPGL competition rules will apply in all events unless stated otherwise.

Cut off Dates for each round

There are a large number of games to be played this year and cut off dates will be in force for each round to make sure all events are completed on time (Male/Female/Mixed total matches):

Sunday 26^th May 2024 – All Last 64 Matches (4/0/0)

Sunday 16^th June 2024 – All Last 32 Matches (36/0/0)

Sunday 21^st July 2024 – All Last 16 Matches (40/14/8)

Sunday 18^th August – All Quarter Final Matches (20/15/4)

Please note players do NOT need to wait for all matches in a round to be completed before playing a tie, you may play your available match anytime from today up to the cut off dates above.

Dates shown on the website for each match in all competitions are ‘To be Played by’ dates.

Competition Only Days

Dates for competition only days will be announced shortly.

They will either be the last Sunday in each round or another suitable date.

Removal

Any ties not played by the cut off dates in each round will result in all players in the ties being removed from the competition.

Semi Finals and Finals Day

Dates for the Semi Finals and Finals Day will be announced before the end of July.

Arranging matches

The top player or pair in the draw on the club website are responsible for contacting their opponent and arranging a date for the match. The opponent should be helpful in trying to agree a suitable date.

Contact numbers for all players are in the Competition WhatsApp Group (click on the player name) or you can post in the group and agree a suitable time/date there.

Scorecards and Results

Please post results in the Competition WhatsApp Group (Event, Round, Player Names and Score).

Scorecards should be left behind the bar or given to myself, Colin Montgomery or Linda Brown.

The competitions will be updated with all results as soon as possible after receipt.
