There were mixed fortunes for Ulster Transport teams at the start of the NIPGL league season.
The A team had a difficult time on a very fast green away at Ballywalter while the B team took maximum points at home to NICS and the C team bounced back from an initial loss in a very tight game against Downpatrick to victory by 16 shots in the 5.30pm game against Saintfield, who just missed out on promotion last season.

Result Cards (C Team 18th April 2026)
A solid performance that deserved more points in a game that could have gone either way, Downpatrick just doing enough in the last few ends to win the game.

Simon McCartney's rink continued the good form from the friendly matches with another win.

A very solid performance against a team that was in Division 2 last season. Ian McKiven's large lead allowed everyone to focus on their own game and a very strong second half from Mark Mitchell's rink was enough to win by a few shots and complete a clean sweep for maximum points.

Another good team performance, leading throughout the game and just missing out on an extra point at the finish.
